Poesis Latina A Yohanes Manhitu Scripta
Latin Poetry by Yohanes Manhitu

Columba Mea

Columba mea in via bona;
Columba mea sine macula.
Stellam victoriae exspectat;
Ad paradisum me portabit.
O columba sancta mea!
Quare in tristitia amo te?
Quando in libertate volabimus?
Hic semper exspecto adventum tuum.

Merpatiku

Merpatiku di jalan yang baik;
Merpatiku yang tak kenal noda.
Ia menantikan bintang kemenangan.
Ia 'kan menghantarku ke alam firdaus.
Wahai merpati suciku!
Mengapa kau kucintai di jalan duka?
Bilakah kita 'kan terbang dengan bebas?
Di sini kunantikan kedatanganmu selalu.

My Dove

My dove in the nice road;
My dove without stain.
She is expecting the star of victory.
She will take me to paradise.
O my holy dove!
Why do I love you with sadness?
When will we fly with freedom?
Here I always wait for your coming.

Ma Colombe

Ma colombe en bonne route;
Ma colombe sans tache.
Elle attend l'étoile de victoire.
Elle me portera au paradis.
O ma sainte colombe!
Pourquoi t'aime-je avec tristesse?
Quand volerons-nous avec liberté?
Ici j'attends toujours ton arrivée.

Paloma Mía

Paloma mía en el buen camino.
Paloma mía sin mancha.
Espera la estrella de victoria.
Me llevará al paraíso.
¡O santa paloma mía!
¿Por qué te amo con tristeza?
¿Cuándo volaremos con libertad?
Aquí espero siempre tu llegada.

Pulcher Poeta

Pulcher poeta, creatura litterarum.
Vita dulcis tua gratia plena est.
Ex anima sancta tua scribes.
Vitae lumen donant verba tua.
Pulcher poeta, amo poemata tua.
Sine verba vivere non possum.
Ex anima tua bibo aquam pacis.
Vitam meam pingunt verba tua.

Penyair Elok

Penyair elok, makluk aksara.
Hidup manismu penuh rahmat.
Dari jiwa kudusmulah dikau tulis.
Kata-katamu beri trang bagi hidup.
Penyair elok, kucintai syair-syairmu.
Kini kutak sanggup hidup tanpa kata.
Dari sukmamu kuteguk tirta kedamaian.
Kata-katamu mewarnai hidupku.

Beautiful Poet

Beautiful poet, creature of letters.
Your sweet life is full of grace.
From your holy soul you write.
Your words give light to life.
Beautiful poet, I love your poems.
Now I cannot live without words.
From your soul I drink water of peace.
Your words paint my life.

Belle Poète

Belle poète, créature de lettres.
Ta douce vie est pleine de grâce.
De ta sainte âme tu écris.
Tes mots illuminent la vie.
Belle poète, j'aime tes poèmes.
Je ne peux point vivre sans mots.
De ton âme je bois l'eau de paix.
Tes mots peignent ma vie.

Preciosa Poeta

Preciosa poeta, criatura de letras.
Tu dulce vida es llena de gracia.
De tu santa alma tú escribes.
Tus palabras iluminan la vida.
Preciosa poeta, amo tus poemas.
Ahora no puedo vivir sin palabras.
De tu alma bebo el agua de paz.
Tus palabras pintan mi vida.

Salve Agricola

Terra amica tua est;
Ager consolator tuus est;
Pluvia lavat lacrimas tuas;
Sol et luna semper te salutant;
Victoriam exspectat horreum.

Salve, creatura bona!
Famem mundi fugas tu;
Ad mensam mundum duces.
Diem longam hymnus replet;
10  Sudor tuus fluvius laetitiae est.

Tabê Atointani

Naijan a-njail ho aombiam;
Lele njail ho aneuk nèk susar;
Ulan a-nfaes nameu ho nu asait;
Manas ma funan a-ntabê ko piuta.
Lopo npao ho mnisat amnemat.

Tabê, mansian alekot ko!
Ho mnoesmani mnahas pah pinan;
Ho mumat pah pinan neu meja tolas.
Neno amnanut naheun nok sit pules;
10  Ho 'puse asait a-njailkun malinat.

Hail Farmer

Earth is your companion;
The field is your comforter;
The rain sweeps your tears away;
The sun and the moon always greet you;
The rice barn is waiting for victory.

Hail, nice creature!
You clean hunger of the world;
You lead the world to the table.
Long days are filled by hymns;
10  Your sweat turns into happiness.

Salvator Patriae

Nunc scio, spero salvatorem patriae,

Qui patriam suam amat, amat se et paradisum;
Qui patriam suam inquinat, parat sepulchrum.

Asoit-Asefit Patria

Nbin tabu i au uhin, au 'pao asoit-asefit patria,
Lê lof a-nliû naaenab susar ma nkifû lais amaneot.
In es amaf neu patria ma sobâ alekot neu pah pinan,
Lê a-nfe 'noinâ, nnèk, ma ntui lais alekot piuta,
Lê a-npanat amisia ma prudensia nék alekot,
Lê nabê nanat patria neu monit aminonit.

Au itkuk kol teme npoi nâko neus feü 'naek,
Nék malaikat lê lof a-nsef patria nék lais amaneot,
Lê naüab on i, «Kalu mloim sefit, mukninô ho smanam!»
10  Au 'toe, nbin tabu i patria amasat ka nsutai ntén fa nu asait.
Sekau es a-nnèk in patria, nnèk nâfainönkun ma nnèk firdaus;
Sekau es nâlahî ma nâkotô in patria, namnes on a-nsiap niutnatê.

Saviour of the Country

Now I know, I am waiting for a saviour of the country,
Who sweeps sadness away and sows the seeds of the truth.
Father of the country and good fellow of the world,
Who always teaches, loves and writes the good,
Who preserves well friendship and wisdom,
Who is able to lead the country to sweet life.

Now I see an eagle coming from a new wide gate,
Taking an angel who will save the world with the truth,
Who says, "If you wish for salvation, purify your soul!"
10  I believe, now the beautiful country is no longer in tears.
He who loves his country, loves himself and paradise;
He who disgraces his country, prepares a sepulchre.
