Fun with the GIMP
These are some fun things I've done using
the GIMP, a free
and open-source graphics manipulation program that is very
impressive. Please take these as inspiration or put them
to your own use.
Backgrounds
These are mostly intended as desktop backrounds. They're rather
big to use as web page backgrounds, and if you put oilslick behind
a web page your users are justified in hunting you down with sticks.
You can also use these as Gimp quizzes: try to loosely duplicate them
from scratch. (Without using the scripts below.)
Scripts
These are some script-fu programs I created to automate creation of the
FloatLand and Queenrocks style backgrounds, so I could play with the
parameters. Please play with them and enjoy them.
