On October 31, 2000, I threw a special Game Night where I encouraged all my friends to come as "something from a game", figuring they would come up with fun costumes. They did.

Lance as a ? from Stratego (you have to ask him to find out what he is)
Marc as Greyface from the Discordian Deck
Mary as Napoleon from Escape from Elba
Melissa as the Hero from Nethack
Michelle as the Luv Panda from Xxxenophile
Mouse, Vel, and Guy as a rat from The Big Cheese, a two-button mouse (though some people thought she was "Zen-D'oh!"), and Clyde from Pac-Man (our stuffed animals are fond on self-referential costumes)
