I am a 26 year old graduate of Carleton College where I majored in English. I am currently a Teaching Fellow for Citizen Schools and the Federal Court Public Education Project.
I split my time between these two non-profit organizations as a way of building a strong partnership between them. In my role at Citizen Schools, I work during out-of-school time with 6th through 8th graders at the Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Dorchester. At the Federal Court Public Education Project, I am involved in several projects that use the beautiful new United States Courthouse in Boston as a vehicle for civic education.
I have also volunteered my time in a computer lab with the children living at 32 Kent Street, the first Women's Supported Housing and Empowerment building.
I am married to Marc Moskowitz and have been since June 15, 1996. Considering how well things turned out between us, I suppose giving him a second chance after he stood me up on our first date (back on November 1, 1991) was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Another great decision was to live in the Freak House with Marc, Allen, and Deborah.
