Hotel InformationNearby Hotels<Unfortunately, we were not able to reserve a large block of rooms in a single hotel, as October is a busy tourist time for New England. However, we were able to reserve two smaller blocks at adjoining hotels. They are: Marriott Boston Cambridge and Residence Inn When you call, tell them you're with the Nathan/Dunnewind wedding (or the Dunnewind/Nathan wedding; we have faith that they'll figure it out either way). Be sure to call by Friday, October 8th! Adjoining, in this case, means "across the street from each other." To be clear, here's a map, and clicking it will take you to the map on MIT's website, where you can zoom in or out as you see fit. For a sense of how local the hotel is: the building marked "32" is where the ceremony will (tentatively) be. The (T) on the map is the location of the subway station, which is, in fact, immediately outside the hotel. We've also marked "The Kendall" on the map. The Kendall is a nearby inn which doesn't reserve room blocks at all, but you're welcome to get a room there. (Their website is http://www.kendallhotel.com/; their phone number is (617) 577-1300.) Less Nearby HotelsOf course, you're welcome to stay anywhere in the Boston, Somerville, and Cambridge area. However, bear in mind that driving in Boston is only slightly more pleasant than driving in New York, and cabs somewhat harder to find. As noted above, the ceremony and reception are easy walking distance from the subway, so any hotel near a subway stop (Harvard, Copley Square, and so forth) will suffice. If you're thinking of booking a hotel elsewhere, feel free to check with us to make sure it's near a T stop! We'd hate to see anyone stranded far away. |
