I'm checking through blogs to see what the earliest reference to it is --  
e.g., it's mentioned here 
http://tdinh86.edublogs.org/2007/10/26/beginning-the-course/ so we know it 
was there as early as October of 2007.

Okay, here's the earliest I've found: 
http://www.gailgauthier.com/2006/07/this-could-explain-lot.htm, and she says 
she doesn't remember downloading the article or printing it out, so it's 
somewhat earlier than July 2006.
