Yup. The cow was named Imogene. The plot in general diverged from that of
the book to the point of being unrecognisable: something about a cab driver
from Kansas being the long lost king of Oz, Pastoria, and a Lady Lunatic in
love with the Tin Woodman, and all sorts of bizarre twists. But the audience
lapped it up: it was THE smash hit on Broadway in 1904.
