And then you get the Cities where even though English is the main language, 
they do not have English names and the residents do not consistently use an 
English form to identify themselves.

Los Angeles. There is Angelinan(s) in plural which is failrly conventional, 
but they don't always identfy themselves as plural. You also hear Angeleno. Or 
*Los* Angelino. More rarely Angelina. And sometimes people slap an 's' on 
Angelino for plural.

It doesn't apply across the board. People up in St Frizz identify themselves 
as   being a San Franciscan, or San Franciscans pretty much across the board.
