Wales under the sea

Devra:

Isn't there something about the Lost Cantrevs being sunk under the sea, and people hearing the bells ringing under the water? I think that this comes from String in the Harp'?? (Nancy Bond) Mind is just gone, lord, just gone...

Can't remember if it comes into String in the Harp (the world's only Borth-based fantasy!), but there's plenty of it in Susan Cooper's Silver on the Tree - maybe that's what you're thinking of?

Not that Wales has a monopoly on sunken lands, mind: they pop up (or not!) round Cornwall and Britanny, and no doubt other places too. And who knows, if global warming continues, Britain itself may one day become another Atlantis...
