Ok, I finally read _Ragwitch_ by Garth Nix. I had originally put off
reading it because the beginning, etc. made it sound chilling and creepy
and I have to be in the right mood for that. But I kinda like Nix's
complex plots and this list seemed to like it, so...

However, I am afraid I was left with the sensation that the plot had
probably been done much better and possibly much faster by Andre Norton
in, say, 1972. For Scholastic Books.

There were some interesting ideas, but they seemed to be thumbtacked in
Standard YA Fantasy Plot #7. It was like reading a modern Regency novel,
where the real suspense is trying to decide which Heyer plot is being
ripped off.

I won't get rid of the book, but I don't see it making it onto my
re-read often list.
