What do you suppose they are? Surveyors?

"Mikesell" suggests sales of some kind to me. Estate agents maybe? Or
insurance brokers? Then again, somebody called "Lackey" ought to be running
an agency that supplies servants.
(Nominative determinism? Me?)
Perhaps an agency training and supplying staff for those little stalls in
bowling alleys which sell fizzy drinks and chips. The ones who call out
their wares over a microphone.
- On a multiverse scale, of course. They are specialists and no doubt
frantically busy trying to match employers with staff.
(Henderson is a bit of a wild card.)
