Various things to do with books (strangely enough)

No, I liked it a lot.

I'm only 36, maybe I'm not old enough to like Rose Daughter as much as 
Beauty. Rose Daughter seemed to me to be self-conciously adding 
complexity to prove it was a grown up novel. But I liked the ending. (I 
am struck, now, by a comparison from a book that I can't remember, about 
two boys, one of which would put away his teddy bear carefully on a 
shelf when he grew out of it, and one of which would hide it away and 
claim he never had one... anyone know which book I'm thinking of?)
