Thanks for that, Emma!

I think Melbourne does have some great book shops. I love Readings in
Carlton--I tend to go to the Carlton shop (not so great for SF and fantasy
but other good stuff), when I also just have to visit Book Affair and
Andrews, where I nearly always find bargains, and Borders next door to
Andrews. There are lots of other shops all around the city too, but these
are the ones I get to nearly every week, because they're right near those
marvellous Lygon Street coffee places...Justin has opened Slow Glass again
also, in High Street, Northcote this time, where I'm actually scared to go
because I'm always tempted to buy something (though I usually manage to
resist). BTW, Justin recently told me that he has now reduced most US mass
PBs to $14.95 because of the falling US dollar...

There is a good bookshop in Kew called Pages, which specialises in YA and
children's books, too, which I haven't been to in ages. I tend to go to
Book Affair and Andrews because I can get cheap (or at least cheaper) books
