You need the Hawaiian bobtail squid, which a) feeds on shrimp, not fish; b)is only 4cm long itself; c) "has developed specialized proteins in its belly that reflect light given off by luminescent bacteria that live on the squid", so you could use it for a reading light; and d) is rather cute.
