OT: 2 off-topic requests for book ideas

I mentioned Jacqueline Wilson in my last post, which reminded me that she
might be good for this 'Hi-Lo' group: I'm not an expert but I think she
would be readable for people with low reading ages. Her protagonists are
in the 10-15 age range, and her books (which are wildly popular in the UK,
but I don't know how well they travel, as they're loaded with UK cultural
references) deal with 'relationships/ friendships' as well as various
Issues, though usually not in an annoying This Is A Book About An Issue
