(1) possibly a world in which a Democrat can be elected (something that 
seems equally unlikely from this place that is surrounded by hundreds of 
miles of Texas in all directions)
(2) A world that has just lost a useful phrase from the language. That 
is, I assume New Englanders will no longer express pessimism by saying, 
"Good luck to you and the Boston Red Sox."
