Maybe we ought to do something like Wonko the Sane in "So Long and
Thanks for All the Fish"... create a genre name for the rest of the
books. Boring Old People books, for example.
"Excuse me, where are your BOP books?"
Just a thought.
As an aside:
Neil Gaiman's Coraline was the featured title on this month's
Minnesota Public Radio "Talking Volumes" book-club-sort-of-thing. If
you want to listen to the initial interview 1/20/04, or his live
appearance at teh Fitzgerald Theater in St Paul last week, go to
http://www.mpr.org/books/talkingvolumes/, and on the right side most
of the way down is the "previous" section. As ever, he was witty and
enjoyable to listen to. The Fitzgerald appearance includes a
performance of a song he wrote the lyrics to by a group including his
assistant the Fabulous Lorraine.
