degrading tapes

Now I just have to find out what they were watching (never heard of that series/movie) and maybe I, too, shall understand.

PS. I wrote a centaur poem, but it didn't turn out like DWJ's centaurs. I did, however, discover a nifty way to illustrate it. You take a photo of an appropriate setting, and then let the reader's eye "place" the centaur in it!

  Subject: degrading tapes

I must be caffeine deprived this morning.

First time through, I thought it was somehow degrading to have to watch the tapes.

Second time I think I got it. It's the tapes that are degrading, not the users who are degraded.

  I think.

English is such a wonderfully flexible language, isn't it?

Know it? We *have* it. Watched through the sequence a couple of weeks
ago. Finally, a replacement for the degrading tapes!

Mathematicians are like Frenchmen; whatever you say to them they translate into their own language and forthwith it is something entirely different.
