I think the BBC (and the Guardian:
http://film.guardian.co.uk/news/story/0,,1368984,00.html) have picked
up a minimal story, puffed it up and run with it. Certainly worth also
reading the interview at
http://www.bridgetothestars.net/index.php?p=weitzinterview before
writing any outraged letters.

I think the film will be dire, but that's because films of books almost
always are, and because I can look at
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0919363/ and see what else Weitz has done.
