There's something very similar in Japan: it's quite common for a piece
of music used as a theme song in an anime series to include odd
half-lines of English.
I suspect that a Russian translation of _magid_ would be even harder,
though, since AIUI _koldovstvo_ means "the sort of power you get by
having magic" rather than "magic" as such...
