Garridge is the one I meant, and the least French. Kaff is what I meant, and 
I'm glad it's a deliberate joke! Baggage is pronounced the same by Americans 
and Brits, who both pronounce it differently than the French, I assume it's 
an older word.

I was overgeneralising for the sake of the joke, but I may have been simply 
wrong in my assumptions...
