Knowing that this list reaches a number of Australians with an
interest in children's literature, I thought to pass on this notice:

  ENCOUNTER - Imagine: Children's Books
  Sunday, March 4, 7.10am, repeat Wednesday, March 7, 7.10pm
When the University of Western Sydney buried
10,000 books a couple of years ago, it was easy
to read a dreadful symbolism into the act - that
the world of literature was dead and buried. Yet
there is a resurgence, notably the Harry Potter
phenomenon. This Encounter joins the great
escape into the world of children's literature
with some of Australia's leading children's
  writers. Includes extracts from Stephen
  Fry's readings of Harry Potter.
