Huh? A sloppy joe here was a long woolen garment that it loose and
shapeless. It started as what we call a jumper (and what other countries
seem to call jerseys, guernseys or sweaters) but it was much longer. They
popped up in the 1960s when the skirts got short and the jumpers got long -
bum-warmers and bum-freezers.
