"When I've skipped my last skip, you can lay your first brick!"

Elsie Piddock Skips in her Sleep -- Eleanor Farjeon, from the collection;
Martin Pippin in the Daisy Field.

Reputed to have been Farjeon's own favorite among her own stories. The rope
handles were Sugar candy and French Almond Rock. The rhyme is a skipping
rhyme;

Andy Spandy, sugardy candy,
French. AL-mond. ROCK!
Bread-and-butter-for-your-supper's-all-your-mother's-GOT!
