Weeelll... the Kelson book before that was published in 1986, but
since then there's been three other Deryni novels, a "non-fiction"
book about Deryni, a scattering of short stories, and a bunch of other
novels including an entire contemporary fantasy series.

At which point, in all that, she actually started writing _King
Kelson's Bride_, I have no idea.
