I talked with Diana not only about the "pool ... filled with water out of
sunlight" (T S Eliot _Four Quartets_) which appears in _Fire and Hemlock_ 
and also about that Tempest line used as a tag for a certain ghostly mentor
in _Deep Secret_ - "airy nothing". That ex-jockey has certainly made his
presence felt, giving his space a "habitation and a name".
