Gulp! 
It's amazing how it need not be even a sadistic pleasure. Some people
genuinely don't realise they're being tactless. Other (un)favourite
comments; "Books are so expensive", "I don't have time to read", and, the
grandma of them all... "I'm going to write a book when I get time!"
