In the Chrestomanci series, "sorceror" or "sorceress" is one of the classifications of magic-user recognised in World 12A of the Related Worlds.

Sorcery (which is distinct from witchcraft, necromancy, wizardry, magician's magic, and enchanter's magic) is one of the more powerful types of magic.
